Angelina Garner

Angelina Garner is the Senior Manager of National Advancement Initiatives at the Forum for Youth Investment with responsibility for designing and supporting the implementation of quality improvement systems and research contracts for statewide education agencies and national youth-serving organizations. She is a member of the National Afterschool Association (NAA) since 2007 and Michigan Afterschool Association (MAA) since 2009 and has served as a Quality Committee member of the Michigan Afterschool Partnership providing strategic guidance on implementing quality initiatives for the Michigan Out of School Time community. She has also done volunteer work for United Methodist Church of Ann Arbor where she served on the Church and Society Committee working on issues affecting homeless populations in Southeast Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas, where she majored in Theatre and minored in African American Women’s Studies. Her mission as a social purpose leader is to provide positive experiences and knowledge to build youth and adult social impact capacity with the hope they will create positive social change.
