Candace M. Stanciel is the Director of Convenings for New Profit, a venture philanthropy fund predisposed to social innovation. She works to drive public dialogue and build collaboration between communities through meaningful engagement with philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, policy experts, academic researchers and practitioners. New Profit uses Convening to build a social impact ecosystem focused on developing a more equitable world. Prior to this venture, Candace spent almost two decades working with a variety of leading organizations. These include United Way, Spelman and Morehouse College, NIKE, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Candace drives progress and equity through initiatives that meet an individual organization’s developmental priorities and increase social sector alignment. Candice holds leadership positions within Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and New Leaders Council. She completed her B.A. in African-American Studies from the University of Georgia and M.Ed. in higher education from the University of California, Los Angeles.
