E. Wallace Bachman, President, Fulcrum Leadership Development, is an executive coach and leadership development consultant with over thirty years experience in leadership development, performance management, culture change leadership, and human capital leadership. He led leadership and organizational development efforts at United Way of New York City from February 2013 through October 2018, serving as Chief Talent Officer beginning in June 2015. Prior to that, he designed learning and development and performance management architectures for FujiFilm Medical Services, Agfa, Kroll, Scudder-Zurich, Fidelity Investments, and Digital Equipment Corporation. He has provided executive coaching and cultural transformation consulting in the nonprofit sector, including Planned Parenthood of Northern New Jersey, Cornell Tech, Eagle Academy Foundation, The Hetrick Martin Institute, and GLSEN. He is currently working on a book that focuses on workplace wellness and what organizations and individuals can do to take care of their bodies, emotions, mental focus, and productivity in the face of stress. Wallace holds a BA in Psychology from Reed College and completed all but his PhD dissertation in Psychology and Social Relations at Harvard University.
