Gita Luz is an innovator and marketer who is passionate about galvanizing people to take action for social causes. She has over ten years’ experience working in the private and nonprofit sector in Asia and Europe. She started her career in Grey Advertising Philippines, specializing in change behavior communications. She led campaigns for the UN, Greenpeace and GSK, and launched a cervical cancer campaign that resulted in thousands of women getting screened and vaccinated. She then applied her marketing skills at the British Red Cross, where she led fundraising appeals that raised millions of pounds for Syria, the Nepal earthquake and Typhoon Haiyan. She is now focused on the next challenge: keeping nonprofits current and relevant in a fast-paced world. She currently heads the innovation team at Action for Children and works in product development to find new ways to generate income and engage supporters. Gita graduated with an MSc in Media, Communications, and Development from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in International Development and Communications from Ateneo de Manila University.
