Cohort: Common Purpose, London, 2017

Caroline White joined Cancer Research UK (CRUK) in April 2017 to lead the Supporter Experience team within the Philanthropy & Partnerships fundraising directorate. Since then, she has transformed the function to ensure CRUK’s high-value supporters have meaningful engagement that inspires action, develops long-term relationships and connects them with the organisation’s vision and cause. Prior to this, Caroline spent five years at Save the Children UK, managing the engagement of donors and partners with the international programmes they have funded either first hand or through innovative digital experiences. She worked with Save the Children’s country programmes across the globe, spending time in India, Jordan, Mozambique, Sierra Leone and Ethiopia. Before she moved into development, Caroline’s career began at the BBC making documentaries. Caroline sits on the American Express Leadership Academy alumni event advisory group which holds bi-annual networking events covering topical issues for UK not-for-profits. With CRUK, she is participating in the Accelerated Development Programme (ADP) designed to support those with the potential and readiness to progress to senior leadership roles within the organisation. Caroline holds a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies and is passionate about cultural intelligence and a seemingly shrinking world.
